A day early with this, but that’s okay. Prompt from Five Sentence Fiction, words from The Sunday Whirl (the words are up on Facebook).
You get me with a simple phrase, capture me with the range of your brilliance
I am fertile like my heart, shifting close to the bright beam that you are
I’ll let you peel back my layers, let you connect us on such an intimate level every time
Because my body will always yield to the push of yours as you sink into me
With legs and arms I’ll anchor myself, taking each thrust until your current sweeps me away
And a haiku
Planted deep —
You the seeking seed
Me the open, fertile ground
I like both, especially the haiku.
