Take the Edge Off

This week’s Kink of the Fortnight talks about edging, going to the edge. So, I’m going to be the weirdo who starts by saying I really like edging.

For the unaware, here’s a few definitions of edging.

Edging is the practice of maintaining a high level of sexual arousal over an extended period of time without reaching orgasm – KOTW

Approaching the edge of sexual orgasm and withdrawing, usually several times, before finally achieving orgasm. meant to intensify orgasm – Urban Dictionary

Bringing you right to the edge of coming and then not coming. Sounds positively medieval, denying orgasm, but I find I like it for a number of reasons.

1. Coming is hard to do.

My body is a fickle bitch. It took a long time for me to come during sex and the number of times I’ve come without clitoral stimulation can be counted on one hand. More than that, I put pressure on myself to come. When I’m alone, it’s a carefully orchestrated dance. Too much on my mind, not stimulated enough, or not into it? It’ll take forever. I’ve gotten better at coming with toys, but even then it isn’t necessarily this quick things. Add being watched or the expectation to come, and my body goes haywire. It’s like it’s just out of reach.

Edging helps me get there sooner without all the massive build up because I’ve done all the build up already.

2. I like being made to wait

There’s something about waiting that does it for me. It’s the anticipation of the visit. The knowledge that a reward, time with Daddy or play, is coming ramps me up.

Denial gets me going. The being told, “no, you can’t come” is almost a kink in itself. It amps up my arousal. The way he says it too when I ask, when I whine about how badly I want to come, the “no”, is almost enough to send me over the edge when I’ve been hovering there.

3. Damn, am I ever aroused

When I’m on the edge, that keen to come, I’m so ready for it. Any word from him is enough. I’ve said the no is arousing, but so is seeing him on a screen or any word from him and I’m wetter then I’ve ever been. No lie, I was hoping he’d tell me to edge before my visit because I’m never as aroused as when I’ve been edging.

Hopefully my points weren’t all the same thing, but it is possible I really just said “I like to edge”. I do.

Daddy made me edge before my last visit and I was a wet mess as soon as I saw him. Talk about ready made sex kitten!

Fascinating viewpoint. I can relate to some of this, other parts I haven’t actually monitored how I react, so I will in future! thanks Cara for assisting my “sub curious” mindset.

I totally agree with you on every point. I totally love it. I’ve been a long time self edging girl way before I even knew what it what was called. Lol I’m also hanging out for Mr D to bring edging into our time together.

Why do you call yourself a ‘weirdo’ for enjoying edging?

If your body and/or psychological mindset responds well to it – and clearly yours does – it’s not weird that you’d enjoy it; quite the opposite, in fact.

    You do YOU. 🙂
